Larroudé's Strategist, Planner and Business Developer

Victoria Quintino

A steadfast supporter of all things Larroudé, Vicky Quintino has made her fashion dreams come true. Vicky sent her resume (and flowers) to Marina in 2018 and the two have been working together ever since—most notably on their newest venture, Larroudé. Nimble, ambitious, determined, and talented, Vicky’s passion and enthusiasm for the brand are only matched by her lovable Brazilian spirit.

First of all, how are you doing?
I am doing good! Despite all the craziness and uncertainty that this year has brought, I feel very blessed to have used this time to dedicate myself to such an amazing project, which I feel so passionate about! Never in a million years, would I imagine that loosing my job in the middle of a pandemic and world crisis, would bring me the opportunity to be working side by side with my biggest mentor and role model to make her dream (and mine) come true!

If you could send a DM to your younger self, what would it be?
Do your best always, but don’t be so hard on yourself! Some times things don’t happen the way you would like them to, but they happen exactly how they should. Trust the process and be thankful for everything that comes your way.. good things end to make space for even better ones to come!

Describe your first memorable shoe-buying experience? Where were you, what did you buy, and how did you feel?
I don’t know if it’s the first one, but it’s the first that comes to my mind… When I was in college (in Brazil), I did a one year study abroad program at Columbia University, and my mom came with me to New York for a couple of days to help me move in. While she was in the city, we were hanging around and I completely fell in love with a pair of Jimmy Choo sandals. Since I was in my early years in college, and did not work yet, the only money I had was from my allowance.. so I asked my mom to buy them for me.. I think she wanted to teach me that you can’t always have it all, so she said that if I really wanted them, I had to get them with the money I had saved. However, my boyfriend back then, lived in North Carolina for college, and all the money I had saved was to go visit him. I remember asking my mom if she was in my position, what would she do, and she said I was the one who had to decide... turns out I told her “I guess he’ll have to understand”... LOL!

How do you feel about being in the first group of women featuring Larroudé?
I feel so honored and proud! I started working in fashion as an intern, back when I was finishing my business degree in Brazil. Ever since, Marina has been a true inspiration and role model to me. Back then, she used to be Fashion Director at Barney’s and I dreamt that one day I would move to New York and work with her. To be part of this amazing new chapter of her life, is more than a dream come true! It’s a true blessing!

What brings you joy lately?
This past year I have seen joy on all the “little” things, that in fact, I noticed aren’t little at all – spending time with family, boyfriend, and best friends, taking care of my health by exercising and eating better, reading books (my favorites were Daring Greatly by Brene Brown, That will Never Work by Marc Randolph and Trillion Dollar Coach by Eric Schmidt, Jonathan Rosenberg and Alan Eagle), listening to music (80s playlists on repeat) and watching series (my favorites were Little Fires Everywhere, Defending Jacob and The Queen’s Gambit).

What is your secret dream (post-pandemic, of course)?
My secret dream, is not so secret, LOL – it’s to become a strong, independent women, who can show the world that its possible to have a successful career, be a great mom, a great wife and still be stylish and feminine. This is exactly what Marina represents to me, and what I wish I can represent to so many young girls around the world in the future. Other than this, being part of Larroudé is a dream per se, and I still pinch myself some times to make sure its actually happening! I really want the brand to become exactly what we envision: Joyful, Refined, Welcoming, Purposeful and Playful.
