First of all: how are you doing?
I’m doing good! I have my health and I feel like that’s the biggest blessing you can ask for at a time like this.
If you could send a DM to your younger self, what would it be?
Be patient- stop trying to plan how your life will go. Work hard and be happy!
What is your first memorable shoe buying experience? Where were you, what did you buy and how did you feel?
The most distinct memory I have is buying a chunky heeled, black leather combat boot at Urban Outfitters for $80 when I was thirteen. And by heel, it was 1 inch high, which was a big deal for me at the time! I think it was the most I had spent on shoes and I felt really grown up buying such an “expensive” pair of shoes on my own. I wore those babies to death and probably had to toss them when I was 16.
How do you feel about being in the first group women featuring Larroudé?
I’m honored to be part of such a diverse and talented group of women! It’s always exciting to see how a brand grows into fruition from the start. I can’t wait for what’s in stores!!
What brings you joy lately?
Being at home has brought me a lot of happiness lately! For the past decade I don’t remember every really appreciating the home I had because I was always on the go. Having just moved into a new home, I’m finding joy in just spending time at home and shopping for vintage furniture to fill the space.
What is your secret dream (post pandemic, of course)?
My overall dream in life is to have a good balance of everything I do. Post pandemic, I hope to not take anything for granted, especially time. I hope to dedicate more time to doing the things I love, such as travelling and eating good food, spending time with loved ones, and taking care of my health. With that being said, I hope I am also able to continue doing work that I’m passionate about and continue learning!
