Meet Barbra Lee Grant

When it came time to cast the Fall ’22 campaign, we wanted to work with models that could embody the same joy that characterizes everything we do and create here at Larroudé. We had the pleasure of working with models Barbra Lee Grant, Palak Gupta, and Polina Shapran, who came game to run around the city with us and photog Tommy Ton—modeling Fall in the Summer heat, no less. The resulting images are as happy, spirited, and vibrant as they are…exactly what we’d hoped to capture. Get to know Barbra Lee Grant, a rare beauty who’s star is on the rise. 

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

First thing you should know is that my number one mantra is self-love. Then after, I'm a family person. I'm such an organizer, very big on that. Even if it doesn't always go according to plan. I love to laugh so I'm easily humored. Everyday I'm thankful even more for the opportunities that I've been blessed with. I work to not just benefit myself, but also my family and friends. We all need a helping hand in this life. 

How did you first begin your career in modeling?

I began my career when I was discovered by Deiwght Peters, CEO and founder of Saint International Jamaica, at my Alma mater Cumberland High School back in 2011. After which I attended meetings and did model development classes all with Deiwght. Fast forward to five years later, I did my first international show in London walking for Alexander McQueen as a world wide exclusive. Ever since, my life has changed drastically. Since then, I've travelled to Paris, Milan, Greece, and I currently reside in New York...it's just mind blowing. At times, I still feel that I'm in a dream that I just can't wake from. I'm just so humbled and grateful to God for using Deiwght as the vessel for changing my life and expanding my horizons.  

What is your dream job to book?

Wow, I have a whole list...but for starters: I definitely want to do advertising campaigns and contracts for fragrances, cosmetics, jewelry, such as Bvlgari, Tiffany and Co., Swarovski, Cartier, Maybelline and so many more. I want to also be on Netflix starring in movies and series. 

What is your favorite thing about yourself; physical or otherwise?

I love that self-love is my #1 mantra. Secondly, I love my whole body, but more so my legs. 

What does your ideal day look like?

Work, work, and more work, but having loads of fun while doing it. When I'm not working, I'm home cooking or setting some new goals inspired by something I've seen or watched on the internet. I love to vibe with myself, you know like blast music and just move to the rhythm.

Last thing you read?

The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene. I highly recommend to everyone that haven’t read the book yet.

What is something on your bucket list?

That would be more family vacations. Yes, I'm very family-oriented. I love to spoil my family. They are always my number one supporters right next to Deiwght Peters.  

What are your hopes for the year to come?

I've already started sewing some great seeds for this year and I know that by the grace of God I will have them all. If I don't get them this year, then next year.

The Dolly Mule, they are just the cutest.
