If you could send a DM to your younger self, what would it be?
Don’t be seduced by social media. I feel very fortunate that Instagram and Snapchat weren't a thing when I was growing up, so I could live, learn, experience, and make mistakes without being judged and haunted by my choices for the rest of my life.
Describe your first memorable shoe-buying experience? Where were you, what did you buy, and how did you feel?
I bought my first pair of Manolos when I was in college. It was the time of Sex & The City, and I was interning at W Magazine and going out to clubs at night. It was all about a shoe. Manolos were $400 back then and it felt like a fortune at the time. Of course, they have doubled or tripled since! It's amazing how a shoe can change the attitude of a look. It affects your posture, the way you walk. I no longer think it's sexy to wear cripplingly high heels, but the importance of a shoe is undeniable.
How do you feel about being in the first group of women featuring Larroudé?
I adore Marina, I adore her style, and I would do anything she asked me to do! I was honored to be included.
What brings you joy lately?
My family, nature, and sneaking away from my "home office" for lunches with my girlfriends. I recently returned to New York City after living in the countryside for six months, and I am so enjoying outdoor dining and the vibrancy and resilience of this amazing city. Any real New Yorker will tell you that it is the furthest thing from a ghost town!

What is your secret dream (post-pandemic, of course)?
I think we're all having wanderlust. I can't wait to travel again.
