#BarbieCore is the Summer’s Hottest Trend

#BarbieCore is the Summer’s Hottest Trend

It’s Barbie’s world and we are just living in it.

Barbie has been setting trends since the 50s — she was created in 1959 by Ruth Handler, inspired a song in the late 90s (who can forget Barbie Girl by Aqua?) and now she is at the heart of one of today’s major movements — #BarbieCore (the hashtag already has 4.8k posts on Instagram).

It doesn’t hurt that snaps from Greta Gerwig’s must-see movie Barbie, starring Margot Robbie as blonde-bombshell Barbie and Ryan Gosling as the six-pack-endowed Ken, recently started surfacing on social media and the Internet, prompting A-listers and more to adopt the trend. Hailey Bieber was spotted in a pink Versace mini dress (accented with sky-high platforms), while Kim Kardashian, and Christine Quinn have posed in monochromatic looks of Barbie’s favorite hue. Megan Fox was also spotted with pink hair while promoting her fiancé Machine Gun Kelly’s Life in Pink.

We hate to say that we did it first (but hey, we did!)—with our Barbie Style collaboration that dropped this past March in celebration of Women’s History Month. So if you are down to party with #BarbieCore, our Barbie Style Dolly platform mules and matching Erin bag could be your first entry into Barbie’s fun and fantastic world.
