I happened to scroll past a photo / ad for these shoes via my Facebook feed. The very first draw was the color yellow - my lifelong fave, although I have basically no yellow in my wardrobe. This presented the perfect opportunity to change that! The very next thoughts in quick succession were: the incredible plaid (ya’ gotta love a plaid), the novelty of a knit fur fabric (so deliciously nubby!) and the appeal of owning my first pair of platform shoes. So, a click on the ad was necessary. The more I looked at pictures of the clogs, the more I was sold. I admit to serious sticker shock. I have never spent $300 on shoes - let’s face it: I’ve never spent $300 on any item of clothing. But I was already hooked on the shoes. I knew I had to have them. Cue aaaaaaaaaaaaall the justification (I can keep the thermostat a little lower in the winter, I won’t eat out as much the next two months, etc.). So, armed with a sweet coupon code I found (ya’ gotta love a coupon code - especially on a $300+ shoe), the purchase was made. I was a little disappointed when I realized I hadn’t noticed the shoes were projected for a delivery four months in the future. I didn’t notice they were a pre-order item. I was SAD.
