The 41 Most Comfortable—and Chic—Wedding Shoes to Shop Now

The 41 Most Comfortable—and Chic—Wedding Shoes to Shop Now

By Heather Hall and Laura Lajiness Kaupke

It's tempting to forgo comfort entirely when it comes to your wedding shoes. After all, you're shopping for the pair for the dress (or suit, or jumpsuit, or LWD). Without question, your bridal heels, sandals, flats, or boots need to stack up to your down-the-aisle attire. But when you realize how much time you'll be spending on your feet, the importance of comfort is of equal importance to style, meaning the most comfortable wedding shoes should be high on your priority shopping list.

Breathtaking details like beading, lace, feathers, and crystals amount to gorgeous bridal shoes, as do tactile satin designs and something-blue versions for a pop of color. Fortunately, many comfy bridal shoes boast these details and then some. But, as most wedding gowns conceal your shoes—unless you opt for a short hemline—prioritizing comfier elements over whimsical design is hardly a bridal style faux pas.

Of course, comfort means different things to different people. For one bride, six-inch platforms are everything she needs to feel her best, while another might feel better wearing a lower height, like block-heel sandals or kitten-heel pumps. At the same time, wedges, ballet flats, and white sneakers often equate to comfort, while ankle boots, flat sandals, or espadrilles could be just the ticket for bohemian or beach brides.

You might also start the day in a stellar pair of stilettos and later switch to flat Mary Janes or low-heeled mules. A totally fair game-time decision. However, you'll want to keep your hemline in mind to avoid a crumpled mess by night's end. Keep scrolling to discover the 41 most comfortable pairs of wedding shoes for every type of bride.
