Behind the scenes of our Roller Skate photoshoot

In anticipation of the launch of our new collaboration with C7 Skates, we envisioned a photo shoot with the kind of fun spirited feeling the skates embody. We DM’d model Melody Olivera, who we discovered on Instagram. She had started skating during the pandemic and she got really good, like really good—making skating videos all around NYC we can’t stop watching. She felt like the perfect face to front the campaign, and the rest is history.

Even though it was a cold day in NY, Melody delivered the sunshine. We chose Coney Island as the backdrop for our shoot because of its kitschy vibe. We did the thing. We went to Famous Nathan’s for lunch, rolled along the boardwalk, and shot all afternoon with Melody, who everyone noticed as she skated through.
